Volunteering is an alternative way of travel for those who want to seek out for a deeper understanding of local culture and the environment, contributing to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
Inkaterra Asociación offers the possibility to be part of its initiatives in the Amazon rainforest of Madre de Dios, which produce scientific research as a basis for conservation, education and the wellbeing of local communities.

PROGRAMS
Participation in the volunteering program implies the commitment to collaborate with the Inkaterra Asociación personnel in charge of each project, using individual skills and knowledge to offer innovative perspectives. Each volunteer’s resolve and effort will be beneficial to the environment and to local populations. In return, volunteers are granted with career experience, a close encounter with nature, personal enrichment and recreational activities.
Volunteering
The period of stay is decided by the volunteer. A minimum of one week is recommended for the experience to be more enriching. Access to the Amazon Field Station by Inkaterra facilities will be provided at a special rate.
Includes:
- Transfer Puerto Maldonado Airport to/from Amazon Field Station byInkaterra.
- Lodging.
- All meals.
- Assistance and support during stay.
Volunteering activities depend on each project’s season and weather conditions.
