Conferences

The 7th Scientific Conference on Andean Orchids is the greatest orchid event in South America, which aims to establish Peru as one of the main destinations for flora observation. To be held from November 27 to November 29 2023, the 7th AOC will summon scientists, students and aficionados from the nternational community.

The program includes lectures from some of the most prominent specialists to learn the most recent findings on orchid research and conservation. Additionally, the 7th AOC offers practical workshops and field excursions guided by Tom Mirenda – renowned specialist from the Orchid Garden Conservation Network (OCGN) and the American Orchid Society – in Lima, Cusco, Puerto Maldonado and Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel’s orchid garden with 372 native species – the world’s largest collection in its habitat according to the American Orchid Society.
