INKATERRA WISHES YOU A
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND AN INSPIRING NEW YEAR

The Inkaterra family wishes all our travelers a Merry Christmas and a fulfilling New Year.

We bid farewell to a year full of challenges for our industry as we work hard to bring one of the greatest income generators and sources of local employment back to its glory.

All in all, 2022 made us wiser and more empathetic, whilst reassuring our confidence in the profound and transformative influence of ecotourism. At Inkaterra, we believe authentic travel is the path towards a promising future with plenty of opportunities for all Peruvians, and it is the most efficient way to preserve our greatest treasure: an unparalleled cultural and natural diversity.

We thank each one of you for your unremitting friendship. Our greatest source of inspiration is to keep innovating and expanding the future of sustainable travel as Inkaterra is doing at Cabo Blanco.

This holiday season, Inkaterra welcomes you to fulfill your dreams of exploring Peru in 2023 – from the evergreen Amazon rainforest and the majestic heights of Machu Picchu, to the legendary fishing mecca of Cabo Blanco.

CHANNEL 5 AIRS NICK KNOWLES’
RAILWAY ADVENTURE IN MACHU PICCHU

Beloved TV presenter, Nick Knowles, travelled from the American Southwest to the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu for his new show airing on UK’s Channel 5, Nick Knowles’ Amazing Railway Adventure.

“My love of trains developed when I was a child and my father would take me to stand on a bridge in Southall, London, to watch old steam locomotives run by underneath,” Knowles stated about this passion project.

For the season premiere in December 2022, Nick Knowles kicks off with a trip across the stunning sceneries of Peru; his trip concludes in Machu Picchu, the first carbon neutral wonder of the world. José Koechlin joined Nick on his visit to the lush gardens of Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, which, according to the American Orchid Society, is home to 214 bird species and the world’s largest native orchid collection (372 species).

THE YEAR IN REVIEW: INKATERRA’S BEST AWARDS

Our travelers’ continuous support allows Inkaterra to be acknowledged with some of the industry’s most prestigious awards, celebrating its distinctive properties and its pioneering vision of sustainable travel.

Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel was among the best luxury hotels in Peru, according to the digital guide The Luxury Editor. The property “is its own little village hidden away in a cloud forest,” according to the Travel + Leisure editorial staff. “Guests love its jungle surroundings (one reader mentioned the "beautiful trees, shrubs, flowers, and birds"), and the food is also a highlight.”

The Condé Nast Traveller 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards recognized two of Inkaterra’s luxury properties among the best hotels in South America. Inkaterra La Casona, Peru’s first-ever Relais & Châteaux property, was one of the hotels awarded in this category. The 16th century manor house hosted Spanish conquistador Diego de Almagro and Libertador Simón Bolívar, and was meticulously restored throughout a five year renovation. It immerses guests in Cusco’s rich heritage and vibrant traditions. Additionally, Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba, a contemporary hacienda-style hotel amid the green mountains and harvest fields of Cusco’s Sacred Valley of the Incas, was noted as one of the best hotels in South America.

At the Ecoluxury Fair in Rome, Inkaterra received an award for their achievements in the ‘Biosphere’ category – a celebration of the brand’s efforts to preserve one of our planet’s most biodiverse areas.
