Inkaterra celebrates World Green Day

On October 17th, Inka Terra Association (ITA), Inkaterra and The Decentralised Directorate of Culture and Inka Pachatuteq College of Machu Picchu Pueblo, conducted a “Green Day ” event to spread awareness for forest restoration and celebrate the arrival of spring.
Help protect the lungs of our planet
Forest restoration is ranked as one of the most effective methods to mitigate climate change and conserve biodiversity.  To increase forest area in our environment would be a great triumph.
Due to the daily negative news about forest fires and indiscriminate logging of our native forests , now more than ever is the time to start looking after our forests.  Such events are a threat to the survival of many wildlife species and if it continues, the native forests will disappear.

Words to live by Inkaterra

There is great responsibility for all of us to educate the youth and general population so they respect and understand their natural environment that surrounds. By doing this, we hope they too pass this knowledge on to future generations so they can  have the privilege of admiring the wonder of nature.

The best time to plant a tree

We can all be part of the solution to this problem; in our homes , schools, businesses and universities.  Each person needs 72 trees to breathe fresh air. We must participate in campaigns to plant trees and turn our communities into greener landscapes, where wildlife thrives. Such activities do not require specialised skills or significant financial resources .
Here are some of the highlights from our Green Day around the vacinity of Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel.
