Explorer Guide at Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba

Hiroshi S.

Hiroshi was born in the city of Cusco. He spent his childhood in various districts of San Salvador and Mollepata in the Cusco region, where he learned Quechua and grew his passion on its traditions. Since then he felt a close relationship with the history of local communities, allowing him to develop various interests such as his love toward native languages and living cultural heritage. Driven by Peru’s historic richness, he was a member of Peru’s first folklore institution devoted to Native Art, Centro Qosqo. His work allowed him to travel to various places throughout Peru, as well as Brazil and Bolivia, where he nurtured his passion towards cultural diversity.

After studying Tourism and English at the KHIPU Institute, we worked in travel agencies, hotels and museums. Since April 2017, Hiroshi is an explorer guide at Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba, allowing to develop his professional career and to continue his mission of sharing Peru’s cultural richness with travelers through activities he enjoys the most: walks and hikes, nature photography, agriculture, and birding.
