  • A Wish for Fruitful Endeavors: Family Orchard
  • Family orchards are a key to feeding families, and to sustaining communities
    in general. Your help in purchasing six fruit tree seedlings for a family will help
    increase their daily food supply and promote a tradition of family orchards.

  • A Wish for Growth: The Children’s Reforestation Project
  • In Amazonian communities, where shade is highly valued but often difficult
    to sustain, reforestation is needed to provide shade which protects the soil.
    Your donation will purchase 20 seedlings of various rainforest species. Tools
    are also included; these will be delivered to a school teacher so young students
    can plant the trees, making them a part of the reforestation effort and
    creating a legacy of concern for rainforest preservation.

  • A Wish for Preservation: Save an Endangered Tree
  • Shihuahuaco, an important Amazon tree that provides shade and protects the
    forest floor, is being recklessly harvested to the point of having become an
    endangered species in desperate need of preservation. Your donation will fund
    the adoption and preservation of one of these endangered rainforest giants.
    A family that owns land where a shihuahuaco grows will receive this money in
    exchange for preserving the tree.

  • A Wish for a Family: Agouti Breeding Pen
  • The agouti, a medium-sized rodent, is bred by local people as an important
    source of meat and hides for leather. Your contribution will be used to build
    a corral and purchase two females and a male agouti for a local family.

    Time to Execute: 90 Days.

  • A Wish for Living Wild and Free: Monkey Recovery
  • Help rescue a monkey recovered from illegal trade, and finance its
    reintroduction into the natural habitat — a process which includes veterinary
    services and monitoring. These monkeys need a period of treatment and
    readjustment before they can be released. ITA has a rescue center for animals
    recovered from the black market, or that have been in illegal captivity.

  • A Wish for Sweet Success: Family Honey Business
  • Help a local family with seven beehives that will serve as a source of
    sustainable income. Your donation will also provide the equipment and
    installation, as well as training and monitoring of the process and productivity.

  • A Wish for Biodiversity: Adopt a Rainforest Hectare
  • Adopt a mega-diverse plot in the Amazon rainforest. Your donation will pay
    for the protection and study of an Amazonian rainforest hectare which will
    bear your name, and be part of Inkaterra’s ecological studies. You will be able
    to record all the animal and plant species found in the plot.

    Implemented by: Conservation of Protected Areas Program – ITA.

    Time to Execute:
    One Year.
    Donor Recognition: Photo of scientists describing the plot + List of plants
    found in that plot + Short description of the significance of this donation as
    a contribution to the conservation of the Amazon + Inkaterra certificate of
    symbolic property with the name of the donor.
