Description of the Services

After an authentic lunch in the main lodge, guests will be met by their own private interpreter / guide and taken on a short boat cruise to the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway, where Inkaterra´s Canopy Tree House can be found.

Guests will be welcomed at the Interpretation Center and met by the Canopy Butler who will assist with luggage and escort them to the room high in the canopies. From here guest will have the opportunity to marvel at the exceptional views and share this spectacular abode with the many bird species who also call this haven their home. The walkway covers more than 1,130-ft. (344-mt.) and guests can explore the extensive tree top paths connected by a suspension bridge linking eight observation platforms and two 100-ft. From these impressive towers, guests can enjoy a "sundowner", snacks and cool drinks, or even a bottle of chilled champagne to celebrate a special occasion. After dinner in the Canopy Tree House, guests have the option to stay in the tree tops in the Tree House itself or descend to the ground level next to the Interpretation Center, below the Tree House.

Travelers are encouraged to rise early and take advantage of the abundant wildlife living all around before indulging a high energy breakfast. Throughout the day there are a range of activities available to guests at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica, one of the highlights being the Anaconda Walk - a remarkable 60-ft. (200-mt.) long boardwalk adventure across the wetlands and Aguajales rainforest swamps. This is an introduction to the palm Mauritia flexuosa, which covers some 4 million has. (more than 9 million acres) of Peru´s Amazon and is the largest natural monoculture.
