| Although the concern of caring the ozone layer has been replaced by some other environmental issues, Peru and the equatorial zone are exposed to alarming levels of radiation. In this satellite photo you can see the levels of ultraviolet radiation. Violet color shows the highest risk zones, as you can see Peru’s location is at high risk. World Health Organization along with World Meteorological Organization have issued a practice guide about the rate of ultraviolet rays in order to measure the solar radiation effects in humans. According to this scale the exposure from 6 to 7 points is considered high, from 8 to 10it is very high and over 11 points it is qualified as extremely high. |

- Use sun block in summer and eventually during sunny days, this involves always having some sun block near.
- If you have outdoor activities daily, besides sun block you have to use a cap and long sleeved clothes. If you do such activities with several people give them the same tip.
