Inkaterra Eco Tips

For us, for future generations and for the planet!

The Inkaterra Eco-tips are recommendations to promote a more responsible lifestyle with the environment, developed to sensitize, raise awareness, and most importantly, to show how it is possible to live in a sustainable way, minimizing our ecological footprint on the planet, just by switching some of our daily habits.

SPREAD AND PRACTICE THESE TIPS EVERYWHERE AND AT EVERY POSSIBLE TIME

The Inkaterra Eco-tip of the week is:

• Generalized use and overuse of air conditioning contribute to increase the problem of climatic change and constitute a high price for keeping air cool. • Refrigeration appliances and air conditioning systems require a high consumption of electricity. More appliances switched more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. • The overuse of air conditioning in cars requires approximately 20% more consumption versus a 5% if you open the windows while you drive. • Refrigeration appliances and air conditioning systems emit chlorofluorocarbon substances, which continue depleting the ozone layer.

Ecological Tip:

  • Avoid opening doors or windows as much as possible when you use air conditioning systems.
  • Temperature provided by the air conditioning system must range from 24° to 26°C. Using air conditioning below 22° C is considered an abuse of energy.
  • Distributing the air of a room with a fan do not use so much energy and do not emit CFC gases.
  • Wear light and comfortable clothes and keep your body well hydrated during the summer.
